Crews & co. Finance Services is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this remote, part-time role, you'll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records for small to medium-sized businesses. About Us:
Crews & co. Finance Services is seeking a remote part-time bookkeeper. Crews & co. Finance Services helps small and medium sized businesses build great finance functions with fractional professionals who act as an extension of our client’s team. From bookkeepers to CFOs, our fractional support scales with our client’s needs. We provide fractional resources to build a finance team and offer strategic support to help businesses grow.
The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, possess the highest level of integrity, be able to work independently , be experienced in working remotely, have proven knowledge of accounting principles, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and be focused on adding value to the company. We are seeking a bookkeeper with fractional experience in a variety of industries.
This position is part-time, Monday - Friday 9AM-1PM EST. Potentially more hours in the future.
Must have a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and possess technical accounting skills. The bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations and utilizing accounting software to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Maintain and update accounting records and files, including financial transactions (debits and credits)
- Invoicing
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Credit card transaction processing
- Bookkeeping
- Provides general accounting support
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3+ years proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
- Demonstrates effective communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficiency in financial concepts and practices
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
- QuickBooks online experience
- Experience working with Bill.com or equivalent
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel (spreadsheets)
- Attention to detail
- Degree in Accounting is a plus
