How do you motivate your team? It’s a trick question. You can’t. Of course, you need to set up all of the conditions for great performance. But at the end of the day, you can’t force motivation. It’s an outcome, not an activity.

How achievable is your company vision? There’s something that happens when business leaders start building out a picture of their company’s future. That “picture” can quickly become fantastic.

How do I know when a plan isn’t set up to succeed? The short answer is that I’ve been doing this a long time. I’ve been that optimistic entrepreneur who was long on confidence and short on guarantees. Not helpful, Eric. Fair point. It’s more than just my gut.
